Theme: Exploring issues

09:00     Open Questions: Small working groups followed by full group discussion.

After an initial introduction, attendees will break into small discussion groups, and identify the main issues unresolved in CG, in particular (but not limited to) those to which perceptual knowledge may be applied. The goal of this session will be to develop a questionnaire of open issues in CG, which will subsequently be distributed among all attendees. The results will be analysed in time to report back on the final day.

"Birds of a Feather" break-out sessions

These parallel sessions, designed to allow more in-depth discussion related to participants' specific interests, may be arranged by participants in advance, or on the fly (maybe as a result of the previous discussions). We will provide a mechanism for facilitating this. Some initial suggestions are:

  • improving automatic measures of fidelity
  • What does fidelity mean in unnatural settings such as information visualization?
  • Using eye-movements for evaluation of graphics
