In this lab exercise, you now need to make your spider move along a spline path. He should move his limbs in a realistic spider walking motion.
Have a look at some videos of real spiders moving (e.g., this one), and aim to script this motion as realistically as you can.
We recommend that you achieve this by planning the positions and timings of the end-effectors alongside the spline path, and using IK to determine the angle(s) of the spider's
joints.
As before, 60% of the marks will be awarded for making the spider move along a spline path, scripting the keyframe positions for its end-effectors, and using IK to determine the joint angles.
The remaining 40% will be awarded for additional features, e.g., more interesting animations, extra joints in one or more legs, climbing over non-flat terrain or obstacles, climbing a wall or web etc., ---
and overall spookiness factor!
